I hope I die before the world becomes anything like that in Blade Runner. I would be too depressed to live. Unless of course, I got myself an apartment like Deckard and a pleasure model rep

I feel that the environment of the movie is quite interesting ON SCREEN, but I don't think I'd like to personally live in such an oppressive environment.

Some places already do look somewhat like what we see in BR. In the documentary, a flyover of current Los Angeles looks like it could have been in the film!

At street level, some places are considerably worse than anything we see in BR.

But don't worry, you could emigrate to the Off-World colonies (and get a free Rep to take with you)
Oh, yeah?? Go to Mexico D.F. City, and try to breathe there... just for an example. It's easy to say you'd like to live in the BR environment when we still have a baeutilful alive planet, and other thing is to be living in one like BR's terra, when the planet is beyond salvation, wishing you could get back in time. (Of course I'm counting you cut off the original happy forest ending).

Be careful what you wish, for you could get it.

What opinion does each of you have as to what the the world will be like in 2019 as far as government, society, and culture in general? How would you feel about living in this type of environment?
