I recently viewed the Documentary "Trekies" and i was astonished at the depths at wich their fandon reaches. I honestly fealt a bit sorry for the fans, mostly because of what has become of what used to be a great sci-fi franchise. This is due in no small part to the many sequels and countless tv series that Berman and co continue to force apon the public. What dose all this have to do w/our fave film and us as a comunity of fans. Well it just made me apreciate even more the rather underground quality we have as fans. I like the fact that BR isnt as huge as most sci fi films. And especialy greatfull that its integrity hasnt been ruined w/a silly sequel or tv show.

I totally agree with you. It feels like we are some kind of "elite", compared to the thousands of trekkies and "starwarries". Not that I think we are better than they, but we surely have a slighty finest taste...

So nothing. I do like ST too, but not to the point of fandom. Trekkers? Thanx for correcting me, I always said Trekkies... I read it that way somewhere.

I've benn asking that question to myself for a long long time, but haven't come with any satisfactory word, mainly because [I think] there are some of us that go for the reps, and others for the runners, and then others for both [!] So what could it be...? Bladers? Rups? Repnners? HEHEHE... No serious, I'd like to have something shorter than "Blade-Runner-Fan" to call myself.
