Hello all, I'm the writer, and co-director of the film which Sean is working on. He's doing a KILLER job too. More than we could have hoped for, and he's a great guy too.

Our plan is to produce a series of at least 4 half hour fan films. They will all tie together in some ways, and be stand alone in others. The first film is titled "The Inspector", as you know. The second is titled "Planetfall", and the third is "Skin Trade". The fourth script is still being worked out.

The series is live action with plenty of CGI work. Some shots will be all CGI, some with be enhanced through Sean's wizardry!

We're pulling in a bit of the "alien" series too. Weyland Yutani is prominent in the series. We thought it would be fun to include it, and there are lots of other surprizes thrown in for the keen eye.

We're trying to make the stories live in the Blade Runner world without being the same stories already told, and without retreading the same themes touched upon in the film, and the books.

The series will have a dedicated website after the first of the year where you'll be able to view the episodes once completed, and also check out behind the scenes video, and TONS of photos, artwork, storyboards and the like. It'll be a loaded site. It's a fan film, and I'm posting everything on the site I'd like to see as a fan. I hope you all enjoy it once it's up and running.

Oh yeah, shooting has begun on the first episode, and will be completed by febuary. The finished flm should be ready in march/april sometime.

I've been coming to this website for a few years, but have never been on the forums before. Thanks Sean.

Oh, I almost forgot, the look of the fan films will stay as true to the feature film as we can possible get, it's very dark, very noir. We're using replia prop BR guns made by Richard Coyle, among others.

And we're having a really good time doing it all.

Did anyone catch the Hitchhiker's Guide reference or the Heavy Metal reference?

the sirius cybernetics? its been a while since ive read the hitchhikers guis (im a red dwarf fan, and the tv series has OBVIOUSLY been made after these books). the serius cyborg marvin i think his name was. not sure. i knew i saw that from somewhere, but couldnt remember where. its like ALL of you pics have tie-ins to some other movie or book, lol. weyland, serius, buckaroo bonzai, anime?(not an anime fan).

good work on the models, they look nice. any chance of getting a plot summary?

We'll be posting some pics of the actors, and some of the shooting probably this weekend. These are just a few shots from the first few days of shooting, and some of them were taken with flash cameras, so they are not representative of the look of the film. But I wanted to show you folks something

We will post the serious promo shots of each character once they're done. Be a few more weeks for those.

A plot summary? Sean touched upon it. The Inspector is a bit of setup and introduction. It introduces us to the places and faces we'll see in further episodes, and hints at the bigger picture of life as a Blade Runner in the city of MetroTampa.

A rookie internal affairs investigator is assigned to a pair of veteran Blade Runners for their scheduled review. The review is a shift long process where everything they do and say is under the scrutiny of the IA officer.

The BR units come under a lot of attention from the city higher ups because of the nature of their work, and they are held to a higher standard. So, they get yearly IA reviews to make sure everything is clean and "by the book" so to speak. As by the book as killing for a living gets.

To tell you what the Blade Runner's assignments are, or what happens on the review shift would be giving away the story, I don't want to do that. But you should get the idea.

The lovely thing about Blade Runner is the visuals, and we're busting our humps to make the visuals intense, textured, and dynamic. The moods the lighting can invoke, and the dark and gritty presence of the city and the characters are all very important to us. The themes that were central to the feature film are there, but we do not want to retell the same story either.

I hope true fans of the film will enjoy what we're trying to do.

After the movie is finished, i presume you post it on-line and make it free downloadable.

Along with production design work we're also in the preliminary design phase of our website which will be dedicated to this series (our original plan is for [4] 30 minute episodes completely downloadable from that website) there will also be lots of behind the scenes info and pics as well as other items that true Blade Runner fans (and sci-fi fans for that matter) will truely enjoy!

Our target date for the release is late February 2004.
