Well, just list your favorite location from the movie and explain why. It can even be vague, like say the streets where Deckard chases Zhora, the roof where Batty dies, or just the areas they fly by in the spinner, just whatever! I guess you can list a few runner up locations too!

Ok, my favorite place in the movie is J.F. Sebastian's apartment(I like the whole building, but specifically his rooms). The puppets, toys, mannequins and all just fascinate me to no end. I love that whole cluttered look.

When I hear people talking about the great visuals of BR, some might talk of the streets or more futuristic elements, but I immediately think of J.F.'s place. The dark, smokey look with dark browns, grays, and some goldish/reddish colors looks great. The art design and props in there are superb. I wish I could visit there, it's just dripping atmosphere, and it's so lonely. And the freaky toys. Anyway, I think that whole place has become a referance point in art whether it's anime, video games, or real life art design(and of course other movies and TV), and it's never been done better!

I also really like Deckard's apartment, especially when Rachel tries to leave you might notice some Japanese art on the wall in the background(by the door, I think). Very cool and exotic. And the lighting in the room where Deckard VK's Rachel is spectacular!

[ This Message was edited by: Lost Painting on 2003-01-21 21:56 ]

[ This Message was edited by: Lost Painting on 2003-01-21 21:58 ]
i'd have to say animoid row or however you spell it the place where Deckard talks to the Abdule Ben Hassan that place whould be quite interesting i feel it'd be both alienating and and suffocating at the same time also truly interesting emotions to experience

Well I never really thought of it. But I would have to say Leon's Apartment. It just gives you sort of an outlook on how the replicants real lives are. Dark, Dirty, and Small. Basically their purpose is insignificant after four years.

P.S.-I'm a human and I say Four Years sucks. That's not enough time for anything...Besides how much of your world can you see in four years?

I like that really heavy, wet atmosphere of the Bradbury Building, and the frozen lab of Chew, with that blue light and real ice over the walls and celinig, unlike many "iced" sets from some movies that just look like crap. In some of them you can even see the plastic ice bend when a character moves next to it.

I think Centauro's comment on the ice sums up all the places very nicely - they look real because the attention to detail is there and the effort was put in to actually make them real. Why use plastic ice when you can use real ice? Why have hastily gathered magazines in the news stand when you can actually create future magazine covers? Sebastian's apartment isn't pretending to be his place - it really is! And Deckard really does live in his apartment. And Tyrell's office is sublime right down to the echo of Rachael's heels. There *is* an Animoid Row where we can go and it always crowded and raining and there is music playing in the background. And I was just at Taffey's Snake Pit Bar last night...
