I'd love to see a technical manual. I think somewhere you can find a picture of the actual gun he used? Perhaps we could even do some graphics design art? Like in our eyes stuff like map of the solar system (pointing out Tannhauser and stuff), of L.A. (that would be easier). stuff like that. I would help in any way I can. Just contact me.

pedrostudios131@yahoo.com
i only need technical things, like scheamtics or blueprints. if you have a cutaway of a rep, lets see it.

by technical things, i mean electronic or mechanical. This manual i plan will be about technology in the BR world.

bladerunner.topcities.com

this site(mine) will provide more info

Should we mention the predessor to the VK?

Oh by the way we probably should try and decide on the technology of AD-Blimps and stuff.

I did a 2-page replicant "Autopsy Protocal" for a replicant dossier I created. It wasn't overly technical - it includes things to look for: ID repressor protein, DNA sequence, genome, molecular branding (complete with ID tag and Tyrell logo) and marrow extrusion.

I'll try to post pics.

ben Mund:

if you e-mail the to me (DAChristen29@aol.com) ill post them up on the bladerunner.topcities.com website, which is the project page.

I think the predesessor to the Vk would be an excelent idea.

Im thinking of technology for the blimp, and my ideas are around the same tech. for the hovering spinner. i read that a spinner's "anti grav." engine that enables it to hover is no more than a harrier jet, but i think it should be something else. something more "realistic". a harrier jet engine would melt people walking next to it, and maybe even the road.

i think there sould be an anti-gravity module thingy in the back hump of the spinner, (anti grav. as seen in the blade runner game video with dr. eisenduller)
the steamy stuff emitted would be a collant of some sort. it'll be explained in detail in the tech manual.

I like the coolant idea magnetic generators create a antigrav thing and the screens would be LED's what about the spires radio antennas or static discharge points

what do you mean LED ? you mean LCD ?

Yeah, that hump in the back of the spinner is the magnetic anitgravity generator, which in turn, generates the famous humm of the spinner.(as it flies over deckard by the Bradbury) since metal or steal would be way way to heavy for a flying car, the plating or covering over the spinner, will be made of the same stuff as the F-22 raptor, a fibergalss based thing (i think)
its as sturdy as metal, but 1/3 the weight i think.

what do you mean antenas and discharge points ?
I think the 'anti-grav' unit is a bad idea. Syd Mead based the Spinner propulsion on the Harrier 'Jump Jet' engine - there's already a prototype car with a similar (but not the same) engine arrangement.

Why not visit Moller for inspiration...

...pay particular attention to the 'technology' section which outlines the details of their 'aerobot' that is a vtol engine capable of hovering and that produces no harmful exhaust gases or pollutants.

_________________

Richard Gunn
News and Content Manager for Bladezone
richardg@bladezone.com

[ This Message was edited by: Deckard BR26354 on 2003-01-09 06:59 ]

Here are the two Tyrell "Autopsy Protocol" pages:

http://pic5.picturetrail.com/VOL77/859593/1553481/18198716.jpg

http://pic5.picturetrail.com/VOL77/859593/1553481/18198710.jpg

And a close-up of the "molecular branding":

http://pic5.picturetrail.com/VOL77/859593/1553481/18198775.jpg

[ This Message was edited by: BenMund on 2003-01-09 07:28 ]

ben mund: i like what i see, except i cant read it. is there a way to emlarge it ro make it readable ? those are some cooooool pages, where did they come from ?

yeah, i read that the spinner's hover was based on a harrier jump jet, but i didnt know there was an actual engine out yet that would damage anything under it. I loved the idea of the harrier engine (its more believable and realistic) but i THOUGHT they would destroy things, which is why i suggested anti-grav. but now i know of this, HARRIER JETS 4 EVER !!!!! (translation: the spinner is up!)

I have seen harrier jets up close at air shows and they don't destroy things underneath them when they take off and land. They are jets not rockets... That means the combustion is inside the engine to drive a turbine...basically they create alot of wind. They use two (relitively)small engines diverted to at least four small nozzles around the jet thay can swivel for controll. If you get a chance to get to a barnes and knoble or b dalton book store they have a giant cutaway book of modern aircraft in the sale section that has great pictures of the harrier. Also I recntly saw someone offering for auction on ebay cutaways of the spinner with blueprints(along with other movie cars like the back to the future delorian). It looked awsome but I havent seen it since. It has to be fan produced. I wish I had saved the info but I had the impression that it was something newly produced that would keep coming up for auction untill the price came down.

THX1138 - to answer your question, they're part of a Replicant Dossier I had done up. It's what I imagined Deckard recieving from Bryant - files from Tyrell (replicant info), the LAPD (Holden's shooting and Leon's VK results, etc.), and Shimata - Dominguez (OffWorld hijack report).

Here's a couple of larger pics. The service I'm using restricts the size:

http://pic5.picturetrail.com/VOL77/859593/1553481/18211276.jpg

http://pic5.picturetrail.com/VOL77/859593/1553481/18211266.jpg

[ This Message was edited by: BenMund on 2003-01-09 13:47 ]

[ This Message was edited by: BenMund on 2003-01-09 13:54 ]
