Here in the UK, Minority Report will not be released for quite a while I think (I mean we have only JUST had Spider-man released FFS), so pleeease no spoiders
But I am looking forward to seeing this, and it could really be a great PKD inspired movie.
Certainly nowhere near Blade Runner (obviously), but perhaps right up there with Total Recall....which I thought had a lot of good ideas concerning the usual PKD obsessions of the nature of reality.
:} Yep, something to look forward to. And waiting for the rush to die down on Spider-Man. Hell, I still haven't seen that Star Wars thingy yet!
As much as I can relate, and Blade Runner is still my favourite, I hope I don't have to live my entire life without seeing anything better! Isn't it just possible that maybe Minority Report is a little closer to Blade Runner than you are allowing?
Yup m8 it's entirely possible, I should not prejudge this new movie, but here's the problem I have with Minority Report before I have even seen it...
"Steven Spielberg"

Don't get me wrong, I am a great admirer of his films (my top 10 list has some of his films in it) but I am not 100% convinced he is the right sort of Director to make this type of film.
I am just afraid that Spielberg will let his sentimental leanings colour this film, whereas Ridley Scott brought this, I don't know how to say it really...detached icy sensibilty to Blade Runner that seemed much more in keeping with the themes he was tackling.
But we will see, all the reports I have read of Minority Report say it is something special, so we will have to see.
