Bad reviews are funny!

So, I was reading reviews of the BR blu-ray on Amazon (I don't know why, 'cause I already have it), when I looked at the graph and noticed, "what? Seventeen people have given the Blade Runner blu-ray a one-star review?". So I clicked on it and read 'em, and man, did I laugh. Y'all should get a load of these guys! :D

Most of these revievers are dumb common people, no offense... It's like with people who write comments to youtube videos.

Here are some of my favourite quotes from the one-starrers...

"I had to return this set and order a different type. when I got it, I found that it was Blu-ray and I don't have that. I get frustrated with all the different types of the same DVD!"

"'Final Cut' - Pink Floyd might want to talk to him about that title... Why doesn't Warner Brothers take back control over their property?... I am glad I got Alien before he decides to screw with that classic."

"I have a Hi-Def TV but apparently you need a different DVD player to watch it, which we do not have."

"The interview production footage did not fit with the mood of the original film. It had a boring set design and to [sic] much emphasis was put on the cast and production crew members talking."

"Any real person going into any of the rooms in this film would open the drapes or turn on a light. It is like the technical director is about 14 years old."

and finally:

"It finally came and I put it into my DVD player and the player couldn't read any of the discs. I went out and bought an HD DVD player, bring it home and I still can't view the discs. I have an HD wide screen TV. All of my equipment is for HD. Even tried viewing it on a friend's HD DVD player and we couldn't view the movie. Maybe I just got a defective set, but had to return it. This makes me sad."

LOL, that's great. We should write positive amazon reviews that make no sense.

I remember the mentality where if something shipped defective (wrong disc with the wrong set) it was instantly worth a fortune and was stuck on ebay. Something as simple as a warning label left off of a package for a star wars toy instantly shot up the price from $5 to $150.

Now all people do is bitch. How ungrateful.

The irony with my faux-post above is... it's completely normal for the 5-disc blu-ray to have 2 DVD's & 3 Blu-rays.(not sure if everyone here knows that) But I know what you mean, THX1138. I actually wouldn't give a rat's patooty if my Blu briefcase had a major goof. `Specially if it was one-of-a-kind! The only problem is, I'd need to purchase another non-defective one, as well.

Sorry, that was a bit too generalizing, of course there are some smart ones and I comment youtubes from time to time too, but most of the comments are kinda dull... well it depends on the type of video of course.

At least sumthing is going on in that movie. This movie is slow. The DVD dosnt work good either. I used it to pry open a can of nuts and it got scratched but it shood still work! DONT BUY IT!!!!"

Here's one:

"How many versions of this old, flopped Harrison Ford movie are they gonna make anyway? It's slow moving and from what I can tell, the director didn't do didley squat while his actors ran around like dull, self-important lunatics in front of the camera.

Maybe that's a better name for him, DIDLEY SQUAT.

It was too dark, too weird with too much rain. It was depressing. And what's with the explosion of Chinatown everywhere? Hasn't anyone told these guys in Hollywood that the future is sleek and shiny?

Why would they even bother offering this old turd on Blu-Ray anyway? They do that a lot these days, taking old movies that were no good when they were released and dropping them in a new box to release a SPECIAL EDITION, all to milk a few bucks from unsuspecting buyers.

What's next, HOWARD THE DUCK 7-disc Special Edition Archival release??

Don't even get me started on the whole DVD - HD - BLU RAY thing. I went through this once before with betamax vs VHS. I can't tell you how many betamax movies I still have. If you ask me, BLU RAY needs a differently shaped box so people know the difference.

Don't buy this or any other movies from Amazon, they won't take it back if you don't like the movie."

Once I had personal discussion with certain film lover (he call himself so) who thought Matrix Trilogy is the best achievement in history of cinema and Alien vs. Predator is his film of the year 2004. We both were a bit drunk, luckily, so I didn't ask him about BR.... it's probably better that way. There are reviews which should be left unspoken.

thanks for that link,

im finding it hard to type lol

unbeliveable

i love the argument by one reviewer about before the final cut version with extended tyrells death -we can smpathise with the replicants-but with the final cut "extra violence" these "Spoilt children" deserve no pity and battys speech is "hollow"

im curious did leon shooting holden or the 23 people killed killed prior did not warrant this reaction from this "reviewer"

i give them all one star for wasting kilobytes of text.
