Backup Weapon

Do you think Deckard would have used a backup weapon? (I know, some of you think that Deckard WAS the backup weapon <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif"> )

A Magnum .44! Or a Desert Eagle! THose are a little big. Maybe a more practical backup weapon would be the standard police issue handguns, maybe a Glock or Beretta since its easier to carry.

No, he is a simple cop, not a walking weapon store. But Gaff looks like he would have few tricks in backup...

Hey, why do you think Gaff walks around with a cane? Could it be that Gaff could have been badly injured by replicants a while back ,like with what happened with Holden? Maybe he fell down the stairs? Maybe a sporting accident?

My bet is a tragic "walking and making oragami at the same time" accident.

In DADOES, Deckard blasted Polokov(Ray Batty) with a .38 cal revolver.....In his line of work, he should have a back up gun, something compact and concealable, but with rounds that could take down a fleeing or agressive Rep!

I'd at least want .357 Magnum or .45 ACP, if not .44 Magnum.

Didn't they use laser blasters in DADOES?

Yep - in DADOES bounty hunters (Blade Runners) used 'laser tubes' as their primary weapon - a traditional handgun was their backup.

One thing I remember thinking when I first saw "Blade Runner" was "Wow, he can certainly guzzle the hooch." I guess he could probably run his ground car on his breath.

wait, polokov and roy batty arent the same person. <BR><BR>But you are correct about the .38 being his backup, and the laser tube being the primary weapon.
