Ever wonder why Roy took his clothes off at the end when he starts chasing after Deckard?

To go out the way he came in?

Perhaps, but it could also be that Roy didn't want his clothes to bind him or "get in his way" while he and Deckard were running around the rooftops.

He wanted to release the animal from within.
A wolf, more precisely (he howls).

At the other side, he wanted to be like Christ - to be tortured, hanging naked on the cross (he pushes a nail through his palm) and cleanse the humanity from all the sins.

It's too difficult, you know...

_________________
Medieval Thievery? Not to take away from your image, but I thought the nail-through-the-palm bit was to sustain his life...injection of adrenalin and all that.

There are more factors we must count in - the world there is obviously under consequences of advanced greenhouse effect and strong pollution of the air.
And if we count in the possibility of the recent nuclear war...

Thats a very good possibility. If you can't stop it, jam a nail in it. If anything it would probably cause a lot of damage to the guilty muscle/nerve/whatever.

It may be a bit difficult to completely understand why Roy begins to systematically strip at this point in the story. There are myriad possibilities:

1. A metaphor of some sort that doesn't necessarily contribute to the plot, but might be presented for the viewer to observe nevertheless

2. Batty was hot and exhausted or perhaps felt uncomfortable in wet clothing

3. Perhaps Batty was attempting to become reacquainted with a baser element of his personality. Note that all of the replicants (except for the dolt Leon) tend to work or spend leisure time in varying stages of undress.
