Is Leon's gun shooting straight?

Hey everyone! Man, the activity on this board has sure droped since the board change!<BR><BR>Anyway, I spotted something new while watching BR last night. The first shot that Leon takes at Holden is "UNDER" the table. So how come there is a hole blasted through a thermest "ON TOP" of the table? Has anyone else spotted this and have an explenation?

Leon was probably tilting the gun slightly upwards, as this would have allowed the trajectory of the projectile to hit Holden in the chest, rather than the abdomen. As Leon is a combat model replicant, he would have been trained (programmed?) to aim for the largest center of mass, which in humans is the chest. (Except for those persons who consume large quantities of beer! <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif"> )<BR><BR>

Yeah, Leon shot through the table (didn't Han Solo kill Greedo that way?).<BR><BR>I wish they had the cash to do that black-beam "implosion" thing (if you freeze-frame the DVD you can see the black energy thing a little bit), but the scene still works, 'cause of the sound effects and Holden being bounced around.

don't mean to be redundant, Deckard did point out the weapon article before, but I had already planed to write this before I saw that, so here goes;<BR><BR>The gun is a "black hole" weapon, which means it's black beam is composed of anti-mater which draws energy from sourounding light (why it appears black) and it converts any mater it comes across to energy. So we can assume the table top got rapidly converted to free floating atoms and that is why it looks like that.<BR><BR>Do check out that article, it's pretty cool., and feel free to correct me if if i got any thing wrong

I've shot one of these COP .357's that Leon uses. They're not that easily found, but a friend of mine had one a couple of years ago and eventually sold it.<BR><BR>They are not pleasant to shoot at all as they're too small for such a powerful round. Some of them (like the one that Leon used) were modified to fire two barrels at once. Ouch!

Actually, I had spent some time a while back looking for one of them, but they are relatively hard to find where I live. Considering their reputation, I don't know why I even wanted one.

I thought it was "big bad-a-boom". Anyway, sure Leon shoots upwards through the table. The type of gun is interesting, but not actually relevant to how he shoots. Any way you look at it, Holden is lucky to be alive afterwards.
