Brion James (Leon) talks about Blade Runner (Interview)

just found this on youtube, don't know if this was posted here before:

it seems to me that his health was already not so good in this interview.

Hmm, I just realized that he died only two years after his appearance in The Fifth Element in which I found his part and what he made out of it so funny and quite the opposite to Blade Runner.

Something else:

I just watched the interview and immediately after that I somehow managed to watched a music video someone did of The Fifth Element to Police's Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic and there I saw (puh) a visual gag I totally forgot about:

Leelo brushes her eyes automatically, not by hand like Pris. ;-)

Mabe we should start a thread picking all the Blade Runner allusions from The Fifth Element, just for the fun of it, I mean the movie is full of references. Without Blade Runner this movie simply wouldn't exist (at least not in this shape or form)... ;-)

Know what's really weird?

I'm listening to The Police right now.

Thanks for the interview link...and now then, just how many films would not exist, or at least exist in different form if not for Blade Runner?

True, but 5th Element is one of the prime examples I'd say, a treasure chest of Blade Runnerisms put upside down...

btw: The Interview is from 1999 just a couple of months before his dead.

He's a really funny guy, but I think he got several health problem. He always loses the point in the interview. (maybe he was just drunk)
