Let's say for a moment that Captain Bryant is killed in the line of duty (or dies of a heart attack or whatever). Whom do you think would be chosen as his successor out of the following blade runners?

A. Deckard

B. Gaff

C. Holden

I doubt whether any of them would accept a desk job like Bryant's...

In the cheesy book "sequel" (BR 2: The Edge of Human), Bryant was killed in the first chapter! It didn't mention who replaces him.

Deckard obviously wouldn't. I got the impression that Gaff was not experienced enough. When Holden recovers, he may not be able to do streetwork any more, so perhaps would be content with Bryant's job. Perhaps that is how Bryant initally got the job - by getting shot (as one of the first Blade Runners).

Im with BRmovie, i think holden would take the assignment. And i beleive future noir says something about bryant getting shot on the streets, and he cant drink alcohol or anything, but he likes to watch others drink (like when he makes deckard a drink in his office). Ill check on that again.

Gaff: "You've done a man's job, sir! I guess you are through?"

Deckard: "Finished".
