New clips
Moderator: dmohrUSC
Just got back from a long drive to Chicago to see the FC this afternoon, will have more to share in the next day or two, but am pretty grogged out from the drive and heading to bed. But, my oh my -- I truly thought I wasn't going to deal with any more overjoyed disbelief than I already had earlier today, until I saw this clip! If there's really "more where that came from," please don't let us stop you from sharing!
I just meant there are several clips on the official site (from the FC, from Dangerous Days, alas, no more out takes) if you go to the Gallery-Video-Film Clips section.
I'd be intersted to know how these out take sequences were edited...were they basically finished sequences that were simply polished off and strung together, or did Ridley and/or Charles personally re-edit each sequence using the raw footage that was available, etc.?
I really like the visual rhythm of the new sequence.

Sorry about that, deepysea, it was late and I was exhausted from a long drive, but still happily freaking out over yesterday's clip. Many thanks again for posting the link, and I promise to check with you first before I spend another 10 sleepy-eyed minutes hunting around for additional rarities on Warner's BR site
Sorry, I just moved back one directory or file and found a smaller version of the main intro video to www.bladerunnermovie.com.
My bad. I didn't go to the main site.

i guess now is as good a time as any to give away the secrets of the 47 minutes - that some people on this forum have seen... but the wait for all of you is nearly over, so there
"I would love to see someone edit all of these scenes together in some ultimate fan cut."
Believe me, my video editing software is poised and at the ready. The usual problem is commonly the different ratios found between final versions (16:9 etc) and extra footage which is usually just letterbox. but we shall see.
as for the extra footage, named sometime back as a sixth version, its mind blowing stuff and is worth every penny.

More new clips from (I assume) the Dangerous Days documentary plus possibly some of the other mini-docs are up at the official WB BR site, which include new scenes of Deckard's car driving thru the tunnel, and Deckard and Gaff in the spinner:

also, I actually like Ford's delivery in this one, but I can't tell if it's exactly the same as the workprint. I think he emphasizes things differently in this video.
Yeah, it sounds like the same VO from the WP, but I agree, it sounds like a different take.
As for the DD footage, those alternate shots are great.

Been wanting to hear that bit of VO since I first read about the Workprint version (even if this is an alternate take). I like this style of VO quite a bit. After seeing the theatrical cut, I thought that I might always be opposed to VO in Blade Runner, but these last two clips have been a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to hear more of these on the DVD set.
