Hello BR fans,

I saw the ST-TOS:10 Episode "What are little girls made of?" and I realized that the key scene in BR with Batty saving Deckards life was "stolen" from the cheesy old TV series!

Have anyone outthere found more recycled scenes?

I couldn't tell you about how BR may have "borrowed" ideas from elsewhere, but I can definitely state that the trademark scenery combining huge fans and projected light, has been utilised endless times ever after.

There is more than a little of Metropolis in the BR cityscape, (freely admitted by the people making the film). And of course the cities in the graphic stories of Moebius were also heavily referenced. (He would probably have officially worked on the film if he hadn't been working elsewhere. But I think he still had some direct influence.)

Of course there will be some other small aspects that could be said to have been of influence, e.g. Film Noir lighting, etc.

Other than that, it is Blade Runner that has greatly influenced so much that has been made since. And yet even in big budget films like A.I. made 20 years later, they still can't do any better!
Yeah, I hate unconvincing CGI shots in today's movies...
