What government?

Its never clear (at least to me) what the Federal Government is? We know that LA still exists and the LAPD for sure.

But what about the rest of the US? I don't recall any comments or references to what structure there is.

We know corporations play a big part (like they don't now  ),but what about other mega cities?

Well...Massachusetts seceded from the union just prior to World War Terminus, and a New England Confederation Alliance was formed shortly after. Other states were soon to follow their lead and form their own regional federations. The power elite in Washington D.C., in an attempt to regain what they believed was theirs, started the nuclear war, of course blaming other countries for pressing the button first. D.C. was wiped-out as a result...so know one knows what really happened, or who won.

But, of course, this is all speculation.

All righty then.....

I'm working on a Rep-Det story based in Boston instead of LA and was just trying to get a better feel for the background. :)
Thanks

Actually...I made most of that up.

In the book, DADoES, there was a nuclear exchange. No one knew who won.

In the movie, it was not discussed.

The rest I dreamed up. But...you may use it for your story. I look forward to reading it! If you'd like any further ideas not used in the book or movie...give me a shout! :)

(In one of the stories I'm working on, I was going to make mention, via news stream, of New England)
