Hey guys, the sleeve was finished in 2003 and I've been busy at my job (I'm a magazine editor) ever since. The good news is Gary tracked me down and there will be some photos plus an article I wrote posted to the site soon. You'll also get a chance to see it on the extras on the upcoming DVD release!

Sorry I've been away so long. You must have thought I reached my expiry date...

I was always mad that I missed grabbing the pics from the early work on it. I have been wanting to do a BR tattoo myself in exchange for some flash at a friends shop, but I can't decide on what I want to start off with. I have way too many Ideas...I guess that is how one might end up with a sleeve. ;)

By the way, that is indeed me on the previous page.

Ridleynoir: you draw tattoo flash?

If I were to start over from scratch, I might do this black and grey with hyperrealism. But I didn't like the idea of having a portrait of Harrison freakin Ford on me! I have a collection of monster portraits, those I'm proud of, but Ford I may have regretted a bit.

A friend of mine was working on a punk rock gothic zine about 10 years agao and she had one of the pieces I did for her turned into a tattoo...the guy who did it paid me $50 a piece to just make photocopies of a couple of my drawings and permission to use in his shop. He has since moved to Vegas. some of my drawings can be seen at my myspace page (PM me for address) ...I am hoping to scan more soon and put it up there..I am not a big fan of Myspace but it is a free place to keep in touch with friends display my art and whatever?

 woo! that really is a cool tattoo indeed!
So rich of colour it's almost like a comic book, with the best scenes in it! 8) Wouldn't dare to take one so striking as yours.

If I would take a BR tattoo it would certainly have the Tears in Rain scene with Rutger in it. Then black and grey with some blue shades.

Gary just put up an almost identical article on Bladezone with more pics. I personally can't believe their aren't more people with Blade Runner Tattoos. I have searched online for them with only finding Jovanka's and one guy with a Deckard and Racheal name tattoo. Many of my friends who have tattoos (and in one case is a tattoo artist) name BR as one of their top movies and they instead have Tattoos ordered off the wall or Star Wars. It does seem at times that some people are afraid of announcing their BR geekdom. I wear a few BR related t-shirts out and a few people that I consider the hippest of the hip are usually the first to comment on them and open up to me their BR fandom. Almost all the people that I have met that love BR share the traits of being artistic and philisophical. The second trait doesn't get you much respect in this day and age, and barely does the first.

As far as tattoos go, My girlfriend has three including a Nine Inch Nails Logo which she is as passionate about(if not more so) than I am for BR...so at least we understand each others obsessions.

Does anybody have the pics Jovanka/skinjobb's first posts about her tattoo? I am hoping she at least does if she still posts here.
