I don't think you will be able to find the director's cut with the narrative..The director's cut eliminated the narrative..the only version that has the narrative is the original theatrical release. you might want to check out Brmovie.com and scan that sight..it is very informative as well. Good luck!

Don't give up on your quest. Despite it is not counted in the versions lists anywhere, I saw it once. Don't know where it came from, but it exists. I watched it and liked it, you can call it "Hybrid Cut". Good luck.

Can I just get this straight. You are talking about a released video that has the voiceover AND the unicorn running through the woods AND ends with the elevator doors closing?

I always thought the 10th anniversary edition was the Original Version that just included some of the violence that was cut for the theatrical release.
No, I learned that the directors cut was not available with the voice over. I told my client that and she was mostly concerned with having the voice over. Apparently her husband loved THAT version. I explained to her that the Directors cut and the version with the voice overs were two different things - and she wanted the woice over - so that is what I got.

Sorry to confuse you.
Robin

BRMovie, what you just described is what I saw once, the one I refer as "Hybrid Cut". I have no more info on it, only that I watched it, and like I said, liked it. It didn' t end with the doors closing, but with the happy ride.

Hmmm... could it be an implanted memory?

Welcome,Robin. You know what? I think I would suggest that you view the original version w/ the narrative first if you've never seen BR. Pretty sure most here would agree. It's easier to follow if yer a newbie.Of course, you'll have to watch it on VHS tape since this is the only format. Then, after that, kick-back and enjoy the Director's Cut on DVD.

_________________
~GeNe~

[ This Message was edited by: Gene Ettix on 2001-12-14 14:39 ]
