But it runs UT2k4 great, only farcry gets a little choppy in places. Damn constantly advancing technology!


Unfortunately PC-based technology isn't moving fast enough - most PC CPU's are still 32-bit - the only bit of hardware that really is advancing are the graphics cards.

The PS2 has 128-bit CPU but has a less powerful graphics card - I'm pinning my 'gaming' dreams on the PS3 with it 16 parallel-connected CPU arrangement...

well it's getting to the point that smaller and smaller processors are not going to be possible for much longer. We have been using the same basic design for them since the 70s. We will probably plateau for a while, and hopefully a revolutionary new design will take us into the next generation of computers.
