PKD Movies

Okay, this is my 500th post 8)

So, for no other reason than that, here's how I rate the movies based on PKD material, from best to worst:

  1. Blade Runner (1982) (obviously)
  2. Total Recall (1990)
  3. Impostor (2002)
  4. Minority Report (2002)
  5. Screamers (1995)
  6. Paycheck (2003)

I couldn't include Drug-Taking and the Arts (1994) 'cos I ain't seen it and it isn't available to buy...

Anybody know what the next PKD movie is on the horizon?

2. Minority Report
3. Total Recall

Havent seen the others. But I think that Dark City is the best Dick mowie with which has Dick nothing to do. :)

Ive seen most of the PKD movies based on his books and unfortunatley I still dont think they live up to the Blade Runner standard.

there was also a foreign independent film based on "Confessions of a Crap Artist"

I hope ASD is well made... I thought Minority Report was pretty good, didnt see Paycheck (Affleck turns me OFF in a big way) and I want to look up Screamers and Impostor...

oh, can't forget TR and the inflating heads... *arnold voice* EEEYYAAGH!!1

That would be Confession d'barjo or Confession of a crap artist.

And I've seen:
Blade Runner
Total Recall
Minority Report
Screamers
Paycheck(most of it)
Impostor

I finally saw paycheck. It was alright, but I definitely think John Woo wasn't a good choice for a director. He's too action oriented, and he tried to make an action flick out of it. Not to say that's a bad thing, or that is the direction it shouldn't have gone, but it had more potential.
