"They don't advertise for killers in the newspaper. That was my profession. Ex-cop. Ex-blade runner. Ex-killer. "
That's very possible, tomtrek. At least in reference to the characters during gameplay. But, the extra booklet I got with the game entitled "BEHIND THE SCENES" lists 14 3-D Artists and 2 more for Additional 3-D Art. Maybe, THX1138, you could extract or recreate the 3-D characters from the cut-scenes.I'm not sure.
Oh...BTW...Welcome,THX1138.Love yer screen name.I've used it elsewhere many times myself and recommended Lucas's THX1138 to BR fans on this board (and the old BZ Board) in the past. It's really great... but no Blade Runner,of course.

wasn't there a scene in thx where duvall's character is driving a futuristic car down a familiar glassy tunnel with a familiar camera angle?HMMMMMMM?

I love thx...it is on my list of favorite 70's style sci fi movies(movies with big social themes and stark ultra clean environments.)

Ala..
-loguns run
-2001(starting the trend)
-space 1999
-roller ball
-sleeper(spoof of)
-phase iv
-quintet
-soylent green
-(in a way ending by and with) star wars
-alien and STtMP also have elements but also are the transitional period to 80's gritty sci fi like mad max and of course BR
yep, thats near the end where they drive the super car away, lolol.

IMHO, thx1138 should be rated R, and not PG. Blade Runner should be pg13, and not r.THX1138 has nudity, and some violence.

but back to the 3d models, what westwood did was create 3d models, and save screenshots to make pixmaps or whatever, so in terms, there are the 3d models somewhere. also, they needed 3d models to make the videos and backgrounds for the game.

anyone know of any sites that offer blade runner 3d models ?

(THX1138, george lucas's first movie in college or high school for a film class)
the numbers thx1138 appears in almost ALL of G. lucas's movies, star wars, howard the duck (blah), EVERYWHERE...just pay a little attention(like in episode 1, look on the battle droids backpack thingy, number 1138, same as in episode 2, in episode 4, its a stormtrooper number i think, and in episode 5, they say something like "eleven and thirty eight" when in the hoth ice base in the beginning)

THX1138 is a pretty average movie IMO. Very little in it to make one think and not much else of note. It always seemed to me an awful lot of people (and I'm not saying necessarily anyone here), would go on about this film because they felt like they were in some club that they "knew" this what-was-once obscure film. In the same way as people go on about La Jetee which was the inspiration for Twelve Monkeys - great piece of art, but it'll bore the crap out of most people.

I can't see why THX1138 should be rated any higher. Blade Runner in today's rating system should certainly be lower (although it was always 15-certificate in the UK). Violence is damaging to a young mind that cannot fully place it in context of the fiction. But seeing people with no clothes on is of no consequence whatsoever.
