They finally have the contest rules up. But, good luck registering. Doesn't work for me, in either ie or firefox.

Hello!

I could enter to the contest site. This is the address:

http://www.bladerunnercontest.com/

Unluckily only americans are allowed.
Should we do something about it?

Elbio.

Hello Elbio!

Only thing I can suggest is to collaborate with an American. But then...he/she would get the credit and what-not, I imagine. Some friends in Italy and I were considering entering this contest. But...with the rules finally stated, it'll require further discussion.

It really shouldn't have to be this way. It was a movie greatly appreciated all over the world. Either make it universal...or no contest at all. OR, have a contest in each country. Crazy.

Thanks, Kipple!
It's ironic because I was thinking on doing a fake ad about discrimination on a Blade Runner-like world.
On the other hand I thought on doing what you told, but as you said it'd be somehow problematic.
I'll think about it anyway.

I don't think its a discrimination issue. There are usually legitimate reasons why a contest may be limited to a specific set of territories or countries.

I do understand that there are commercial reasons for this limitation. But what I was talking about was the irony related to one mean subject on the movie.
Also, not to start an argument but working on advertising for some time tells me that being exclusive is an important matter for this decision.
I hope I'm making any sense.

Elbio.

I realize it's been a while since the contest ended...but, I don't "ReKall" anyone talking about the results.

So...check out the "Winners". Great tune by Bentley...1st prize!

As far as I know, even though I never got any email regarding this award, my oil on canvas "Memories of Dreams" has deserved the third place in the "Art" category.

Yes. Beautiful work. If I were judge...I'd vote yours #1 of those three. Seriously. It's the more imaginative and original of the three.

Cool site but the "discussion" forum is dead/ filled with porn bots.

BUT if you have not checked out the winners section of the contest do. There are 3 songs, some art and a mini script worth looking at.

Received 2nd prize for the literary category. They sent me an official framed poster of the Final Cut. First Prize winners were to have received an HD Entertainment system.
