OK, first I have to say that the Blade Runner game is my favorite of all time. I have played it several times and my big game wish is that Westwood would make a sequel game.

What other PC games would you recommend that I try that are similar to the BR game?

P.S. I played Nightlong (Dreamcatcher games) and Deus Ex and liked them alot.

I'm glad you asked this question,MadusaX.This game is so kewl I nearly listed it under the "Blade Runn-ish Experiences" post.
OMIKRON:The Nomad Soul
You start as a cop but can become many different characters later.Definately influenced by Blade Runner, there are blimps or big vehicles flying overhead, and you get around in floating cars called Sliders.Very futuristic w/ great atmosphere.
The game is from EIDOS Interactive & Quantic Dream(from France). If only these two companies would create the next BR game in the style of this one...w0w!

You're welcome.
Oh and BTW...Omikron is also available for the DREAMCAST game system, though I have never played it on this platform.

I agree with Gene Ettix. OMIKRON totally kicks butt! It has tons of things you need to investigate and figure out, and you need to follow lots of clues and leads (just like what a real Blade Runner would have to do). I've told Gene before--in the old forum--that I wish they would make a new BR game using the Omikron format.

[ This Message was edited by: endzem on 2001-08-24 19:33 ]

Well,endzem... Just after my last post here,I got a copy of David Bowie's "hours..." (w/ a promotional 3D cover on it.WOoHOo!!!)
Excellent songs in today's over-saturated music world of shiite,I must say. The lyrics and music can be "taken" in reference to the game OR stand all on it's own as a seperate entity.
Three months later, I'm still spinning the hell out of this CD(as well as my new Vangelis Blade Runner, of course!)

That's great, Gene! I have the Holo-cover CD too. I just read in a Spanish game site that there're going to come up with Omikron 2: Exodus! It takes place 100 "cycles" from where the first left off, and a new super-futuristic city will be added. There is still no realese date.

Hey, I noticed there is no "fan" website for this game. Maybe we should start owr own. Hmmmmmmm....

Hey, I've seen that site before, too. I think that info has been there for a while.Hope Exodus comes to fruition(especially on more platforms, like PS2 in my case). What is that URL, endzem?
Oh BTW...The last time I checked,the official site nomadsoul.com wasn't online anymore.What a shame - it rocked,an experience in itself.

Hey, MedusaX, another game that suits the Blade Runner theme would be Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy. You are a Private Detective (Peter Gunn stlye) and it's in the year 2090 (I think), but it's still a good game, with aircars, modular living quarters, except no way to run, and you don't get your own Spinner, unfortunately, but I still love it.
