What was Sir Run Run Shaw's role?

BR was released by the Ladd Company "in association with Sir Run Run Shaw thru [sic] Warner Bros." What does "association" mean? Alan Ladd, Jr. of the Ladd Company was interviewed for the Dangerous Days video but no one from Sir Run Run Shaw. What was SRRS's involvent in BR?

thx, gordo

He was one of the film's financial backers, who also turned 100 this year. :)

Deckard: I don't work here anymore. Give it to Holden. He's good.

Bryant: I did. He can breathe okay as long as nobody unplugs him.

He credited his longevity to his active media career and strict diet. I'm just waiting for the "Sir Run Run Shaw is a rep!" thread to start, haha.

*COUGH* Milk's too hot.

100? Sheesh, good lord. Well we all owe him some Tsing Tso, eh?

Saturday mornings would of been flat without "Kung Fu Theater". Many of the martial art movies were backed by Sir RRS.
