Actors studio..

I "got my hands on" Actors Studio - Harrison Ford a few weeks ago.. was really looking forward to watching James Lipton and Harrison talk about BR but chockingly he skipped BR.. no questions whats so ever, i was chocked and tbh almost felt angry about it, was this perhaps a cut version of Actors Studio, anyone else seen this? And can someone tell me how the hell James Lipton can leave out a BIG movie like Blade Runner?

Maybe Ford requested that they not discuss Blade Runner. He doesn't like talking about it much, unfortunately.

But Dangerous Days will cover it pretty damn well, I think.

Or maybe the only appearance Ford makes in the DD doc is that part where he says "It was a bitch".

That would be funny. Sad, but funny.

Actually there's not just DD, but a recent article linked here said the new edition of Future Noir will have an interview with Harrison. Groovy!

I remember him on Larry King years ago, and one caller asked him why he didn't like BR. Harrison looked pained (in that way he has), and said, "I played a detective, but I didn't get to detect anything."

Ford must've forgotten the parts where he's investigating the Yukon apartment or using the Esper or taking the scale to a source.

FEELING THAT HE DIDN'T GET TO DETECT ANYTHING

MEDIOCRE REVIEWS FROM TEST AUDIENCE

BOX-OFFICE BUST (especially coming on the heels of Star Wars, Empire and Indy)

Is this the same problem than with George Clooney criticizing his role in Batman & Robin? And yet, he appears as the most credible Batman in my opinion.

On the contrary, I heard that Harrison loved his role in Blade Runner and also his partner Sean Young with whom he probably had the most touching chemistry of his career.

In other movies, I mean, generally, if some actors can't transmit enough emotion through the gaze or intentions, they do crude scenes instead and it's a real waste of film. Remind you Basic Instinct, what a subtlety...

The chemistry he transmits in the film simply shows what a wonderful actor he is. It is true he and Sean Young did not care for each other at all. In my opinion his view of it as a "Bitch" was that it was a painful experience. . . going to work with people you hate, and getting to do it in the near-dark and constant wetness for take after take after take.

His "emotion" and chemistry for Rachel that comes across in the film is probably Ford's own visible desire for the scene to be over, and the pain of having to do it over and over with Young, rather than the pain of his scripted ex-wife, ex-job, ex-life and the delicate precarious future he might have with Rachel.

Oh, and Christian Bale is the only Batman as far as I'm concerned. The others were storyboards on their way to developing Batman Begins.
