How far will you travel to see the theatrical release.

Since the theatrical release has been pegged only for L.A. and N.Y.C. it is evident that a good many BR fans will be travelling an extensive distance. Just how far will you be travelling to glean that BR magic?

I'll just be making the trip to The Landmark in West LA from The Valley. So I suppose that makes me the one on this board who takes the shortest trip to get there. Unless there's someone who actually lives on the Westside, near Pico and Westwood, which would make The Landmark right next door to them.
Yes, I really live in Los Angeles. Srsly. And yeah, life really does imitate art here. Especially now we've got those video billboards. No spinners yet. But I suppose that's next.

Since I'm in the outback of australia, the only place I'd imagine showing blade runner would be sydney. That's a good distance away. I couldn't travel that far. I'd like to, but I don't have the means or money to right now.

A stroke of luck for me. It will be showing in Denver on December 7th in a brand new theater. Just counting the Days. I will only have to travel 131 miles from the hinterlands of Colorado.

I had to travel a few hours. New York is just north of me.

I traveled to NYC by train from New Jersey last month to catch the film at the Ziegfeld.

Rochester to NYC...7 hour train ride already done...Toronto may be next if I have the cash. I have been told that the arthouse theater here will be getting it most likely next year though.

I'm sorry to say this but...I'm a three hours journey from the closest theatre/major city showing BR:FC, and I'm not taking it.

W.B.'s will make their money on the major city circuit, and with the DVD releases. It's a shame they're leaving out the mid-sized cities. But...that's not where the money is. That's what it come down to.

One issue I have about this is shame on you Ridley, for not realising this at Leicester square London, at the (VUE in THX sound system). Because I would have travelled to London, but what?s the point now I?ve seen it on DVD on the small screen and it would have been in treat to see this in London.
I?ve seen things you people won?t believe.
