As followup to this previous post, when the DVD set comes out on Dec. 18, here's what my lifelong best friend / BR afficionado & I will be doing:
We're gonna watch the 45-min. Deleted Scenes reel first. Then we'll watch the Deleted Scenes reel again. Then we'll watch the Deleted Scenes reel a third time. Then we'll check out the 3-hour Dangerous Days documentary. Then we'll watch the Deleted Scenes reel a fourth time. Then we'll skip over to the workprint and fast-forward to all the super-cool rare bits. Then we'll watch the Deleted Scenes reel a fifth time. Then we'll watch the FC with commentary. Then we'll watch the Deleted Scenes reel a sixth time. Then we'll check out all the remaining sure-to-be-unbelievably-awesome bonus content features, and watch the Deleted Scenes reel a seventh time. Then we'll go out to lunch - or maybe just order in, and watch the Deleted Scenes reel three more times. Then we'll spend the rest of the evening doing an intensive BR detox program, in the company of the just-released Stanley Kubrick letterboxed-DVD set.
Everybody got that?
That sounds like fun! I may just have to watch the deleted scenes a few dozen times myself.
