They lost me at "waive moral rights."

Sorry, what I write or whatever is usually released under Creative Commons. However, what I share, I don't give up moral rights to, period. If you claim ownership of anything I do, unless I specifically do it as a work for hire, you will have to deal with a very angry Ms. Geek.

I could do something for the contest specifically knowing I will have no rights to it if it wins. But it would probably suck. So in the immortal words of a character owned by Time Warner: Fuhgettaboutit. :P
Yes, I really live in Los Angeles. Srsly. And yeah, life really does imitate art here. Especially now we've got those video billboards. No spinners yet. But I suppose that's next.

e. No Violation of Third Party Rights. Neither the Material, in whole or in part, nor its title, nor the exercise of any license or right granted herein: (i) violates or infringes the rights of any third party including, but not limited to, any trademark, trade name, contract, agreement, copyright, or patent, any literary, artistic, dramatic, personal, private, civil or property right, any right of privacy or ?moral rights of authors? or any other right whatsoever; or (ii) slanders or libels any person or entity.

I don't think they mean that you waive your moral rights, I think it implies that no third party stuff may be violated in anyway.

I think...

This is where they lost me...

b. Waiver of Moral Rights. You waive to the maximum extent permitted by law all moral rights relating to the Material including, without limitation, any and all rights to be identified as the author and any and all rights of approval, restriction, or limitation on use or subsequent modifications together with any other rights which are not capable of assignment or transfer, and you authorize Warner Home Video and its affiliates and designees to use such rights without limitation in perpetuity (or for the maximum period allowed by applicable law, if less than perpetuity), throughout the Universe.

This particular part is downright ridiculous, sounds almost like a Blade Runner script writer's joke.

Shameless, greedy mega corporations, neglecting the individual's rights...

... I'm sure Tyrell would love this!
