nexuszix and deleted, thanks for some of the most intelligent movie dicussion i've had in years. your cumulative i.q. is truly astonishing. unbelievably thoughtful posts like "zzzzzzzzzz" and "bullshit" are what i return to this site for every day. it's impossible to find that kind of conversational genius anywhere else online. so where's the keg at this party, bros?

Fellow Blade Runner enthusiasts, can we please be cordial?

Enough of the sarcasm.

Stick to the topic.

Sorry sir, sure thing.

I wonder if Future Noir will come out at the same time, to coincide with this release...

This is, from what I understand, the plan. Paul Sammon was selling copies of the first version of the book at a BR autograph session. I told him I would have bought it but I'm waiting for the new version, and he said "I don't blame you, it's coming out real soon." I asked him, "will there be signings for it in the LA area?" and he responded, "No doubt. Keep an eye out."

So yeah, I suspect the new version will be out either before or during the Final Cut's limited theatrical run in NY, LA and possibly SF.

The new edition of Future Noir is up for pre-order on amazon.co.uk, I suppose the release date is unlikely (they have it as Sept 20th at present).

Oh, neat. I hope it comes up on amazon.com or one of the other local sites soon.

I wonder if it will have multiple covers like the old one...

That just sucks if no isolated score. Thought Ridley was going "all out" on this one. The score was almost as important as the movie to me. They were so intricate. but would have loved to listen without dialog sometimes. Would have been fun.
Probably some kind of legal rights crap again...
Still very happy and off to pre-order. Guess I should research to find the best prices on the limited full version first.
Is this one the one to get the complete edition?
Blade Runner (Five-Disc Ultimate Collector's Edition) (2007) (Amazon_$54.99)???
