If you want to feel cutting edge, and have appropriate hardware for it, then fine. Some though believe that Vista is too bloated with DRM and useless stuff behing eyecandy. We still don't know a lot about it's functionality.
Now I'm not sure but as far as I know Vista will be fully 64-bit, so it may become hell for everyone wishing for back compatibility. If you're one of them, think wisely before you switch to it.
Dual boot is always an option, of course.
