I?m a bit confused as to the actual release date for this dvd, its it the 9/5 (according to amazon) or 9/12 (according to the digital bits?)
If its 9/5 great?I can pick it up when I get my lost se.2 set : )
As far as updating the art work?I like the fact that they kept it the way it is by virtue of the fact that this was the art work/design used to promote and subsequently package this version of the film. And I mean this specific design not simply the painting but the black border the red logo and shots of the actors/names at the bottom ect?
You could also make the argument for keeping this design from the viewpoint that your customers fall into two groups
Group a) is either and BR fan or a home theatre enthusiast ?these people know that this is the new remastered version if only because its not in one of those god awfull snap cases but mostly because they are all over the net and simply know when the new dvd is going to drop
This group will buy the dvd anyway and if they don?t like the artwork use there high dollar printer to print there own sleeve?lol.
Group b) is jo-paycheck who may have seen the film a few times and wonders into the store on 9/5 (or 12 still havnt cleared that up lol ironicly enough) and picks up a copy and it is his good fortune that he is getting the best possible picture quality of this fine film.
Warmer pulled the old snap case versions so its not a case of people picking up the old one by mistake?don?t see why the art work is a prob.
