My vision of a game adaptation
My interpretation is that it should not only be an adaptation of the film, but also an expansion of it in the sense that certain scenes in the game could've happened in the film but aren't shown on-screen. It would be a first-person shooter in the vein of Perfect Dark.
Chapter 1: Yukon Hotel
You will begin by entering the Yukon Hotel, looking for clues relating to the escaped replicants. Once that is completed, meet with Gaff outside with his Police Spinner. As you leave, the radio will pick up a call reporting a suspicious vehicle moving at great speed throughout the city. Pursue the car and navigate through the Los Angeles skyscrapers. The suspect will be trapped in an abandoned robotics factory.
Chapter 2: Ambush
Once in the factory, you?ll discover that this is the suspect?s base of operations. Thugs armed with shotguns and laser tubes attack from all angles. You must locate the proper controls to turn the power on in the factory. Once done, you?ll face the suspect: Dominic, an assault rifle-wielding gang leader. You will engage in a gunfight with the entire factory as the battleground. Once he is defeated you apprehend him and question him. You then learn that someone hired Dominic?s gang for protection in exchange for Tyrell Corporation secrets to sell on the black market.
Chapter 3: A Trail of Leads
The mission begins when you must use the Esper computer to analyze a photograph for potential clues. Once done, you must head into the city and consult an expert on fish with the scale you collected in Chapter 1. After being informed that it is a snake scale, you must locate Abdul Ben-Hassan. Although due to your notoriety, many people on the streets will be looking to kill you.
Chapter 4: The Thrill of the Chase
After learning from Ben-Hassan the buyer of the snake scale, you enter an exotic bar. You must interrogate the owner, Taffey Lewis, before continuing the mission. Following the questioning, you will find a Miss Salome, an alias for the replicant Zhora. After realizing that you are a cop, she will escape into the streets. You must quickly navigate through the city streets and retire her while avoiding civilian casualties. When Zhora is retired, you must locate Inspector Bryant for further instructions. You are informed that the Tyrell Corporation?s experimental replicant, Rachael, has gone missing. You are ordered to retire her. The next objective is to return to your car. But before you do that, you must face the replicant Leon. You must fight hand to hand as well as run to defeat him. Overpowered by Leon?s brute strength, Rachael kills him.
Chapter 5: In Pursuit
The police spot Rachael while with you in the city streets. At the wheel, you must lose the police before they locate and retire Rachael. She is necessary in order to solve the case!
Chapter 6: An Anonymous Tip
While at home, you receive a phone call from Inspector Bryant ordering you to investigate an anonymous tip regarding a Replicant Dealer. After arresting him, you discover that it?s a trap set by the replicants to eliminate you. Worse yet: the gang has obtained information on the Tyrell Corporation?s Nexus 7. You will need to track down the thug holding the Nexus 7 designs while fighting off the thugs trying to cover his escape. The showdown with the thug is on a busy highway. The thug is also carrying a grenade launcher. Civilian casualties must be minimized.
Chapter 7: Bradbury Apartments
Upon arresting the thug, it?s discovered that the information is fake. The gang was led to believe they were getting legitimate corporate secrets in exchange for killing you. Not only that, but Dr. Tyrell has been murdered. You are given the address to Bradbury Apartments. You must first face the acrobatic replicant, Pris. Once that objective is completed, you will face the final replicant, the near-invincible combat model called Roy. He will engage in a game of cat-and-mouse, fighting you hand-to-hand. Eventually you will reach the roof where the battle will be determined.
Chapter 8: Life or Death
Admiring your fighting spirit, Roy spares you from death. Before expiring to his 4-year life-span, he relates his experiences to you. Gaff meets with you on the roof, alerting you to the fact that Rachael is next. The police are in the building and you must fight them off and get to your car before they retire Rachael. With little time left, you must find the quickest route to your home.
THE END
You arrive at home, discovering that Rachael is alive and well. The two of you rush to leave and discover an origami unicorn. A calling card from Gaff. You understand that he let her live and you both enter the elevator and leave.
