new site update

ive got some feedback. it's a whole lot of...nothing. well, it's something, but not a lot. it's about 7 minutes long? and how much of it is WP footage? maybe 45 seconds. its just reitteration of music and video we've seen time and time again. its edited nicely, but as a whole, we've already seen most of this stuff. i think most people will only download it for the WP footage, in which theyll be skipping most of it to get to the juicy stuff.

but as a personal editing project, its nice work.

if youve ever seen the unknown-camera man version of the WP you`ll know its excrutiating to watch.

still, after reading THX1138`s message, and then reading it agian... i take it as a minute complement.

compliment with a hint of criticism. its a nice edit, but as far as footage we havent seen goes, it's not much in comparisson with how long the actual video is. but good job.

i dunno mr THX1138.. if you compare the DC and the WP, i did a 50% job of putting extra scenes in, other than the extended fight with zora (tie stuck around his neck) and then deckard looking upto the hole in the ceiling, the majority is audio changes.

rest assured, as soon as these new sequences come to light...

...I can confirm that it's got nothing to do with the original movie - I think someone created it around 1999/2000 on their home PC. Recently, they added fake film artifacts and blurring to fool people into thinking it was some 'lost scene' from Blade Runner. Got the full-size file somewhere...

i had a cd with some old 3dsmax models and videos from my dad's friend, not sure if he made them or collected them. but on the cd was a folder called "blade". inside was a few video clips from blade runner, all CGI. some had a tyrell flyby, and some an off-world. it was nothing big, maybe 5 seconds each. i wonder if these were the same guys.

Hi I don't know how to tell you this guys, but I have been Bladezone for many years. I have begged people and fans to help me put up articles, with no replies. I do not know how to do this or I would.I have written many articles that never saw the light of day and finally I have found someone interested in helping me keep bladezone alive. Bladezone at one point was attached and much of the html was effected thus many pages are white and have html at the top, with Gary Carden's help I want to remedy this situation.

ive never been contacted about writing articles and content, but i did write that unofficial syd mead lecture in the BR roundtable under the "syd mead" thread. i offered to rewrite it with better spelling/grammer and Kipple offered to include some images i was refering to. It never got started because i was told you had one you were going to post up, so i figured why waste the time? i can always rewrite it, its never too late.

thanx THX1138, if you could send me what you can on the article that would be great. Garry Willoughby has sent me a (when i get it!!) CD with the Syd Mead stuff (notes and pictures) and i`ll get started on that when it arrives.

of course, all submissions from any user are greatly received, and will receive credit where credit is due!

i just read the syd mead article. it's merely nothing more than a slideshow. mines more detailed though, so i guess ill start working on it right away.

whom would i contact if i wanted to use some of those images in that other article for reference in mine?

I haven't any of those. What I have close to them are what I have here. Otherwise, I have some of what you mentioned in your article, sketches of the orgasma mask, the Zhora dance set, cryo-crypt, and so-on, all from the BR Sketchbook, and Illustrated BR. Let me know if you want me to scan the applicable ones.

It's great that this presentation is available at BladeZone. It's quite a treat!

With the addition of THK1138's write-up it would make for a well-rounded and more informative article.
