Rep Definition

I've been looking at the definitions of replicant so I could do a sort of analysis on their make-up but I've run into some road blocks.

What does enogenic, synthogenetic, and paraphysical mean?

I've looked the words up but I can't find any definition for them. Can anyone help me out?

I suppose they all are made up, sophisticated pseudo-scientific words. Science fiction is full of them.

Paraphysical could be related to Paraphysis - "One of the erect sterile filaments often occurring among the reproductive organs of certain fungi, algae, and mosses." - Dictionary.com

Synthogenetic is pretty easy to deduce I think - "made of synthetic genes"

Enogenic - this sounds like a total nonsense.
I looked up Eno in latin dictionary http://catholic.archives.nd.edu/cgi-bin ... no&ending= :

eno [to swim out , escape by swimming, flee].

Take your own conclusions.

Maybe that's why the decided on not using the definitions at all. If people don't fully get the explanation, then it's not a very good explanation.

Could be, but there might be other reason. The Webster's Dictionary definition shown on the screen at the beginning of the movie would feel too academic and book-like. Simply slow. It has been used in the Workprint, probably the test audience turned the idea down, or the producers or Ridley himself decided to take it out.

The opening crawl as we know it introduces us into BR universe far better. It's dynamic, it rolls on the screen and it's plainly cool!
