This message is in response to an earlier posting with a link that no longer works. Here is a link for those who may remember the game for the old Commodore 64...and for those who may want to check it out! It is at BRMovie.com

http://www.brmovie.com/FAQs/BR_FAQ_C64_Game.htm

I'll stick with Westwood Studio's game.

I vaguely remember chasing down replicants in the street - this was on my ZX Spectrum and before I was really aware of the film (I think I was 12 or 13 years old at the time).

Yeah, it was definately fun for its time. I actually have a ROM of it on a commodore emulator, since mine crapped out a few years ago :(

Does anyone have the instructions? And/or keyboard commands for the online PC version? It gives a couple commands on the following website...but that's it. (I emailed the website...but did not receive a reply)

You can play it online here:

Well, I couldn't get the cursor keys to work so I re-defined them to:

Q=up, A=down, O=left, P=right, Space=fire.

Then started the game - you've got a city map on the right and a sector map on the left. The yellow city map (right) is divided into the green sectors (left).

Press fire to start.

Look on the right map - the flashing dots are reps.

Use the up/down/left/right to get to one of the sectors occupied by the one of the reps - as you move around the yellow map, each sector is displayed in more detail with the green map. When you're in the same sector (left map) you'll see the rep appear as a red and yellow cross. Move you cursor over it and press fire. This will send you and your spinner to the reps location.

The view will change to a side-scrolling street. Once you've landed and gotten out of the car, you've got to catch up with the fleeing rep, who is off the screen to the right. You can see his dot on the scanner in the middle of the screen.

So, run to the right using your 'right' key, using up and down to dodge the people on the side-walk and the traffic on the road. If you manage to catch up with the rep, line up using up and down and shoot him to retire him. If the rep manages to out-run you and disappears off the scanner, your spinner will land and back up you go again to the main map.

Repeat ad-nauseum.

Dunno if you get the chance to VK em - I doubt it 'cos all I saw was a 'bounty' bonus.

BTW, I suck at this game - didn't catch one rep. The people keep getting in the way. :)

Take a look at the magazine article links at the bottom of this page - tells you how to play the ZX Spectrum version which is pretty much identical.

Actually, I remember reading these magazines in the 1980's - they make interesting reading now. Wish I still had them :)

I used to play C64 when I was a little kid. :D
Man, I got angry when it got broken.
I have played C64 games on the computer. Copies and crap. :?
There's also C64 games that you can play on the DOSbox.
But I prefer to play on an emulator. I know a great emulator.
Here's the site: http://www.computerbrains.com/ccs64/

I got the CCS64 V2.0 B. It has worked fine and I haven't seen a single game that wouldn't work on it.
One thing...I haven't found the Blade Runner game for this emulator yet.
If someone finds it...please inform me. Thanks. :D

P.S If you are looking for other C64 games. Go to: http://www.c64.com/
They got plenty of good oldies. All the games work excellent.
There is other sites too. Just Google. :D

I wonder how I can hook up a CDRom drive to a Timex/Sinclair to try this out.
