Well, I finished the game for far more than dozen times, but I am still wondering what could that little "Designer's Cut" option mean. What is it supposed to do? Will the game be different, when it will be on/off?
There is no mention about it in that small booklet which pretends to be a "manual"...
Any ideas or suggestions?

It removes dialogue so you don't have to sit through pointless conversations. Check the game site at BRMOVIE.COM. There. I saved him/her the shameless plug.

Heheh.. so that's it. Strange I didn't notice yet. You know, I am not native English speaker and I do not understand half of what is said in the game - the voice actors mumble and babble, speak too fast and many of them speak in weird accents. The game suurely would deserve to have optionable subtitles for people like me.

I fully understand one third what they say, the second third I just guess from the context, and the third third just passes through my head leaving no clue there.

Thanks though!

I expect that the elimination of the extra dialogue by using the Designers Cut Might help then, since you're only getting the essential dialogue. While both the voice acting and the writing were very good, I find that the most amazing part about the Game is the atmosphere; its like you're actually there (if you can around some of the pixelation--that might just be my machine, though). Who knows; the option may make the game better for you.
Yes, the characters are just too grainy even for game from '97. I remember that an editor from my fav gamin mag complained about it back then.

Actually, the characters look pixelated in every PC I've seen.

Well there wasnt much better as far as game graphics went in 97, and it had excellent backrounds which made me forget about how bad the characters themselves looked.
