When will Guzza call?

After completing the game multiple times, I learn from the walkthroughs that its possible for Guzza to call you at your flat, instead of Crystal/Clovis/Lucy/Dektora.
How? Everytime I play he dies in the circle of Green Goo.

Those walkthroughs must have been positively wrong. Guzza's death is hard scripted as a part of the plot. The only time he calls you home is at the beginning of Act 2, informing you about Eisenduller's murder.

Funny, a couple of walkthrus mention his name along with Dektora, lucy, Clovis, etc.
Anyone else have any ideas? Played where Guzza survives?
