Well not exactly yet,
but if Westwood where to make a second BR game, would you want it to be:
a) Prequel to the first (featuring Deckard, McCoy, Holden, other Bladerunner?)
b) During the same time as Deckard and McCoy
c) Sequel (again which Blade Runner character?)

also: on earth or an off-world colony?

You know what I'd like? Not that it's feasible, but I'd like the posibility of swithching form cinematic-style to FPS-3D when the plot leads you to the gunfire. Kind of thing that showed in the VK's in the first game.

Can't remember who it was, but recently somebody on this forum was looking for help with a Max Payne/Blade Runner total conversion - in other words, a 3D-FPS in a Blade Runner 'universe'...
Centauro,
I was thinking of including your preference in my opening post, that would be my favourite also, Blade Runner a la Quake 3. I'd pay any amount to play that if it ever did come out. Spot on Centauro, my thoughts exactly

I'll modify my question:
Whether you prefer a new game or film, would you prefer it to be a prequel, sequel, or run at the same time of the original?

I would prefer an adventure game in the same style (of course with updated graphics and perhaps full cd-quality music this time, thank you) but from another point of view, perhaps playing a rep or another BR or "little people" caught up in the intrigues and deceptions of the coprorations/government.
Something that takes place in the BR universe, that has the scenery and feeling of the film and first game, but that has little or nothing to do with the actual "heroic-bladerunner-that-discovers-he-might-be-a-rep/replicant-hunting" thing.

You know what? Before the BR game release was little known about it, the developers were keeping everything in secret, so I made my own image of how it will look like. The game in my head did really look like a first person shooter - hunting reps in the overcrowded streets of LA 2019.
But when the game came out, I wasn't dissatisfied at all - it had very nice graphics and awesome cutscenes (at least for that time, I was absolutely beside me from the motion capturing Westwood used for FMVs). The only negative was the damn pixelation.

Later, in spring 2001 I played Deus Ex. Since then, it is one of my favourite games. Basically it is a well ballanced mix of classical adventure game (talking with NPCs, collecting objects, logic puzzles) and an atmospheric FPS. Moreover, it occurs in a dark future not so far from BR world, and it has captivating conspiracy plot.

When I finished the game, I just told myself: "Amazing.. Only if Blade Runner or its sequel ever looked like this..."

Anyways, i do not want to discourage some people, but we all know that BR game was never intended for wide public. The commercial success wasn't much big at all and usually only hard-core BR fans bought the game. So I doubt there will be any BR game sequel, surely not from Westwood. But if somebody sometimes will decide to make another BR game, I would like it to see like Deus Ex - a modern FPS/Adventure mix, perhaps with some RPG elements.

_________________
Medieval Thievery?
