I'm only seeing the 'ball' matching. Am I missing anything else (apart from the fact that they both seem to be listening to the same radio station? :P )?

Well at least Westwood shows some creativity, not just ability to copy locations. 8)

Heh, me too. That, or Westwood didn't think there were any crazed fans who would compare the two scenes and just accept it as it was in the game.

You bet they did! I think the game was made by especially crazy fans in disguise... ;-)

That and the whole point of the game was to immerse the fan into a world where they played their own version of Blade Runner that itself was a veil for playing a larger version of the film; the idea was to make you feel as if you were Deckard without being, erm Deckard; to experience Blade Runner as you saw it while coyly hiding under the notion that its a different character.

I guess the term is 'an open deception'. You're playing a different character to Deckard, but really, you're playing Deckard, because that's what the audience want to role play.

In my head, I see it as the same block. I imagine those on the police roster get pooled in the same buildings, and when they quit, they simply buy or rent the same abode.

The game is one of those brilliant experience which is truly Blade Runner, but you have to take it with a pinch of salt at the same time. Another "cut" of the same cloth!
