Apologies if this is the wrong thread... BR RPG

Hi everyone, I've been running a table-top role-playing game based on the book and film of PKD's Blade Runner (DADOES) for the past 20 years.(also 'eye in the sky', and 'Festung Europa' (Man in the high castle)).
I'm looking for resources that I can use in my game. I've got all the soundtracks (except 1 and its rare and a bootleg so I won't do this forum a disservice by asking for it). I've got the fonts, pics, etc but I was wondering if anyones heard of anything else out there I could use? If there are legal cd's out there with futuristic ambient street sounds then i want it.
PLEASE HELP!

Unrelated to your question...but related to your content, I am currently reading "Eye in the Sky", (The book, coincidently, opens up on October 2.). A fascinating read!

Tell me more about your game?

Blade Runner or eye in the sky?
Well can't tell you much of the latter (spoiler) but BR has a lot of imagery from the film and of course I play the soundtrack while running a game. It also has tubrellas, penfield mood organs, etc. If you're familiar with Chaosium's BRP system I could send you a copy of the character sheet.

Ive came across a fan-made Blade Runner Pen abd Paper game few years ago, but I can't find it on the web now... try to throw at Google keywords like BR, RPG, PnP and maybe youll have better luck for your inspiration.

As for ambient music... don't know about that futuristic sound, but there definitely are some professional ambient CDs for free download (released under Creative Commons License).

Try out

or my favourite dark ambient netlabel

i could go on all night but for starters, try some of the well-known planetarium music composers for really intersting/ethereal soundscapes: John Serrie and Geodesium. also another interesting fellow who goes by the name Biosphere. these should be plenty for starters (you can sample legit clips on Amazon to see if this is to your taste).

cheers.

It's not music I'm after. Ive got the soundtrack (GOGOL, New American orchestra,Vangelis, & 'private release' ) for that. Also, almost everything that Vangelis and Future Sound of London has produced. It's 'street sounds' I'm after. people chattering in foreign languages, cars, traffic horns, adverts etc.
Cheers!

What you are probably looking for is the "Los Angelis November 2019" disc..it is ambient noise and some vangelis music also. It is usually found available on ebay along with the Esper soundtrack. The "Esper Definitive Edition" (or MK3) has it packaged with it in a 4 cd set. All are bootlegs of course(as is the Gongo) and can be found online also, but i don't encourage music piracy. I also don't encourage paying upward of $100+ for Bootlegs either ;). More info can be found at Bently Ousley's Yahoo Blade Runner Soundtrack egroup. Check out this article on Blade Zone for more info and a link to the egroup

I can get you some audio files of that. Do you need small sound bites or an extended ambiance effect? I have about 74 MB of audio files.

You could use Cyberpunk, Cybernet, and Shadowrun rules/sourcebooks.

I'm thinking of building a "Noir Near Future" source book for Tri-Stat dX, which is the core rule set for Big Eyes, Small Mouth, the Anime RPG. The system is currently in limbo because the original creators, Guardians of Order, went bankrupt. White Wolf Games picked up their creation but don't really seem to want to extend it. Oh well, no big deal, the basic rules are available for free as in beer, if not free as in speech. This is a "rules lite" system which is more about storytelling than game mechanics.

You know, once I get the source book together, we *could* play the game on this very forum. It used to be that people would play games by mail, and then later by email. I've seen this work before in other places.
