Not quite replicants...however...

The University of Tokyo has made a microscopic doll. Out of living cells. It "lived" for a day.
Yes, I really live in Los Angeles. Srsly. And yeah, life really does imitate art here. Especially now we've got those video billboards. No spinners yet. But I suppose that's next.

Interesting! That is kind of how I imagined that replicants would be made. Each part cultivated and grown in place within an organic matrix. I knew that if they only lived four years there was no way for them to "grow up". They had to be made fully grown.
