Yes, but does it work in Photoshop? That would make for a true Esper experience.

Hmm...wonder if there's a Mac version of this voice recognition stuff...(me has evil plan)

Ooh, and it comes with Mac OS X too!!! No need to buy a separate application, it's right there ready to go!

Hook a Mac mini loaded with Photoshop up to your TV, add scanner, and PRESTO! Instant Esper! How cool is that?

Of course Esper is even more than an image enhancement system. I was under the impression that it was a whole police surveillance network database, or even a complete operating system. That voice recognition software is definitely a step towards an authentic Esper machine though. Of course those funky retro CRTs will be completely obsolete by 2019. But hell, no-one really care that there are no cell phones in Blade Runner. I don't miss them - after all, they got public Vid Phons instead :)

Times like this I wish I had the patience and the mad hack skills to roll my own Esper Linux distro and keep it maintained. I'm sure there's tons of voice recognition software for Linux too. Yeah, those Esper systems are really neat.

In the scripts the Esper was a fully integrated AI, that was even in the cars. It talked back to Deckard and seemed to have a personality.

I'm not sure if that sounds more like Skynet, or Knight Rider..
