An idea (type of replicant)
I was reading about this new technology where they're working on being able to print organic tissue and organs of humans, for medical research and testing purposes.
(I think I found it here http://www.ubergizmo.com/2013/02/3d-pri ... he-future/
but there are better articles elsewhere such as http://mashable.com/2013/02/06/3d-print ... ll-organs/ )
They're apparently doing this for more accurate results. But wouldn't a full replication of a human be even more accurate than a living chunk of one?
In the original BR, there are pleasure models and combat models. My idea is that they could have these medical analogs for testing as another type of replicant.
I don't really know how this would effect what they'd do in the movie, anyone else got ideas?
It would probably only effect them in small, subtle ways. but one could say the replicants in the original film were characterized mainly by their intended roles. (How they behave, what they wear.)
I imagine there's some good potential to linger around what it means to be human and the value of life, and the cost for human life versus the life of everything else, with this type of replicant.
