Bladerunner 2 (Bladezone Sequel)

Ok, here goes,
Our own sequel, who better than us to make a sequel, (if this has already been done on another thread let?s do it again anyway)
I suggest we keep a standard format and that we don?t answer the question of whether Deckard is a replicant or not, I think that maintaining the ambiguity is more interesting. Just continue from the latest post.

(The phone rings, Deckard picks it up)
Deckard
Yeah?

Gaff
Don?t blame yourself sir, you couldn?t help her, nobody could

Deckard
How?d you get this number?

Gaff
How?d you get involved with her? Bryant wants to talk to you

Deckard
You gotta be kidding me

Gaff
Bryant definitely isn?t, he says it?s serious

Deckard
I?m through, I told you already, look, if Bryant wants to throw me a party and give me a gold watch, you can tell him to go?

Gaff
This is different?

Deckard
How?

Gaff
Somehow this relates to Holden, I assume you heard

Deckard
No?

Gaff
He didn?t make it,

Deckard
I told him his work was killing him

Gaff
Yeah, real funny Deckard, it appears he had some information that relates to you, you might want to see it, and the department wants to ask you a few questions relating to it. Look, you ran away with Tyrell property and?

Deckard
She wasn?t anybody?s property?tell Bryant I?ll see him, I?ve got a few things I?d like to say to him anyway

Gaff
You?re quite a professional?

(Deckard hangs up)

are you serious? well, if you are, i'd write a script according to jetter's book if you'd like. i can work on the script only though, as im working on the titan picture movie. if patryk would like, i'd also donate some of my CGI models for CGI if there's any.

I was quite specific: 'our own sequel', so not Jetter's, nor Ridleys Scott's, nor John Doe's. Our sequel, just for the fun of having a look at what has been added the next time we visit Bladezone. It doesn't have to be perfect, I do hope the moderators will erase any posts intended to trash this thread.
I guess we could add images (or sounds- Dear Vangelis, you may add some original music if you want) relating to the scenes we're describing to spice things up.
We could all add a couple of sentences each, or can we? It could be continuing the same scene, or a cut to another scene, we can all have a say and give the plot any twist we like as long as we don't kill Deckard after 15 minutes I guess - a collective effort -the challenge is to see how much imagination we board members have, I hope we will be pleasantly surprised and disprove that saying about too many cooks spoiling the broth.

So here goes (2)

Bladerunner 2- The Bladezoner's Cut

On the way to police headquarters via Spinner. Typical LA scene...smog dense with sweat and plastiloids.

Entering the elevator to go down to Bryant's office he thought he saw Holden. But when the fellow turned around it was someone else...but same build and similar features.

Enters Bryants' office.

"Welcome home pal," greets Bryant

"Bryant," Deckard acknowledges firmly.

Deckard
Bryant, I?m not a part of this anymore, I?ve handed in my R-3

Bryant
Actually you posted your resignation?what?s the matter Deck? Didn?t you want to say goodbye to your partners?

Deckard
Bryant, you?re a waste of space, you still haven?t made it off-world. How many times did you apply? Seven? Eight?

Bryant
You?re hurting my feeling?s Deck, but after this one, I?m definitely getting promoted and posted where I truly belong

Deckard
The sewer?

Bryant
Don?t be like that Deck, you?re going to help me, it?s me and you pal! just like old times

Deckard
Goodbye Bryant

Bryant
Does the name Gino Novak ring any bells?

(Deckard freezes)

Bryant
Sit down, partner?

Deckard: Novak. Yeau. Russian agent. We worked on a sting operation years ago. What of 'em?

Bryant: What do you remember about that operation?

Deckard:
(takes deep breathe...showing a little agitation) Someone was selling classified documents from the Pavlov Institute in the Soviet Union in conjuntion with someone at Bryce Industries in London to someone at the now defunct Minkler Corporation. The perpetrators were caught and Minkler was closed down. End of story.

Bryant: Story doesn't end there I'm afraid. Novak left the agency soon after he returned to Moscow and hasn't been seen since un...

Deckard: What does this have to do with me?

Bryant: ...until recently. And coincidently there have been some similar events occurring recently that resemble the precursors to that very sting operation you four were on. Only this time it involves the Tyrell Corporation.

Deckard: Not this again.

Bryant: There's more. What happened to Dave Holden was no accident.

Deckard: What did happen?

Bryant: Someone thought they'd help Holden come around by unplugging him. Didn't have a chance. Only authorized personal were allowed to visit, you know that. We believe it was Novak.

Deckard: But, why Novak? What did Holden have on him?

Bryant: That's one reason why you're here Pal.

Deckard: And the other?

Bryant: You're next.

Writer's Note: There are many directions that this can go in....which makes it all that much more exciting. My thoughts at this time is that one of the four involved in the sting operation knew or discovered something about Novak, ( the four being Deckard, Holden, Novak and...hmmm..the London agent). Novak was an interesting character. The other three never really got to know him, or totally trust him. Seemed all work no play. Something about him...hmmm. Was he part of the "communications" between the three companys? Did he go to the "dark" side/turn bad? Is he a replicant? Can't wait to see how this story unfolds. Whatever the case, don't let me influence the story more than my entries. Just some current thoughts I had.

Cheers!

Bryant; I already have 2 tickets for you to go to london EC on the super sonic.

Deck; 2 tickets???whos going with me??

Bryant; Origionaly I wanted Gaff to keep an eye on you but I need him here...and he doesn't like you ...so I got a detective that transfered in from san diego, that has experience with tyrell corp...you can meet em' now if youd like.

Deck;(with an uneasy queasiness coming over him he hesitantly and suspiciously says) yes.....alright

Bryant : (over intercom)send in detective sam scott...

a few minutes later a short man ...or boy in an oversized trench with short blond spikey hair walks in and imediatly I sense a I have met him before, and before I can mention it he or should I say SHE says...

Sam; Nice to meet you again Rick.

Bryant: Now, here are the briefings you can read on your way there. Also, you'll find an entry made by Holden before he augh...(clears throat). It was made out to you Deck, so...it hasn't been opened.

Deckard: Now wait just a minute. I don't need Sam t...

Sam: What's the matter Deck, I thought we got beyond the...

Deckard: (facing Sam face to face) I wasn't the one who blew the...

Bryant: Now you two can sort through your personal bullshit on your own time. Right now your on company time, more importantly MY time. Work it out and move on. Time is of the essence here. If you have any questions or leads you know how you can reach me...here. (hands them both a cell phone) All the numbers are programed in...Tyrell, the mainframe, and of course me, amongst others. Have fun kids.

(At the airport)

Deckard
It?s not a good idea for us to be traveling side-by-side, you can never be too careful, I convinced Bryant to spend a little extra?so you?re traveling VIP Sam. In fact we should take separate cabs to the hotel in London, ok?

Sam
Fine by me Rick

(Speakers)
VIP passengers for flight ST 03452 to London are kindly requested to proceed to exit gate no 7. Immediate boarding.

Deckard
That would be you

Sam
Indeed

(VIP passengers board the airplane, and shortly after so do the rest of the passengers, apart from one?)

(?Oldest trick in the book? thought Deckard to himself)

Deckard
Chinatown?

Cab driver
Sure thing sir

(Deckard thinking to himself: I?ve got 7-8 hours before Sam arrives at the hotel in London and realizes I bailed out, but that buys me enough time to go see Mei Hua (Chinese: beautiful flower). If anything unusual has been going on in LA?s underground, she?ll know. Whoever pulled that plug on Holden has an equal chance of being in LA as anywhere else, perhaps he?s trying to infiltrate the Tyrell corporation, I don?t like England anyway)

(Sam thinking to herself: These seats are really comfortable)

Sam
I?ll have some white whine please

Stewardess
Right away madam

As stewardess tends to the other passengers, getting their orders, Sam opens her briefcase and touches up her appearance and pulls out a trenchcoat and exits the plane knowing full well that Deckard was blowing her off as she once did him.

She catches a cab.

Sam: China town...The Snake Pit.

Deep in the landscape of Chinatown, embedded within its' crags...The
Snake Pit.

Sam: Hiya Taf.

Taffy Lewis: Aye...what can I do for you puddn' pop?

Sam: I really (leaning closer to Taffy), really need some credits.
Can you fit me in the venue?

Taffy: Getting in too deep again? I thought you learned from last
time. You're lucky to still be alive.

Sam looking desparately at Taffy...with eyes no man could refuse.

Taffy: Go see Jou...she's in the back.

Sam smiles kisses Taffy on cheek.

Sam: Thanks Taffy!

Taffy: Just no repeat of last time ok?

Sam knew that if she did her shows again that she could get to Hume Doe.
He had the connections and means to find out what is going on at Tyrell
Corporation and probably about Novaks role in all this. Perhaps
he's a Rep sympathizer?

Meanwhile...Deckard is in Chinatown too. There to see the beautiful
Mei Hua

At the palace of Mei Hua on the edge of Chinatown.

Deckard: One more kiss?

Mei: Now Mr. Deckard (reaching over kissing his forehead)...that better?

Deckard: Not exactly what I had in mind.

Mei: No, (With an inquisitive look). What exactly did you have in mind when you came here. Surely it wasn't just for my "pleasures". Afterall, it had been...what...three months since our last encounter? Surely a man of your calibre cannot hold out for such a length of time. Tell me you have found another "blossom" ? (teasingly) It's alright...Mei doesn't get jealous. I am incapable of that. Just tell me who she is and I'll have her poisoned. (laughing and tickleing Deckard about the abdomen).

Deckard: Alright...alright! (backing from the play holding her wrists)
There was something else that I wanted to talk to you about.

Releasing her. Mei lights a cigarette.

Mei: What is is Mr. Deckard?

Deckard: Anything unusual going on lately?

Mei: Unusual? You are talking about LA Mr. Deckard. It would be easier to tell you what is NOT unusual. Can you be more specific?

Deckard: Tyrell Corporation. A London alfit called Bryce Industries. A guy named Novak...for starters.

Mei: Novak. (face lit up) Now, Novak rings a few bells. Something big going down.

Deckard: Well..what?

Mei: What's in it for me Mr. Deckard?

Deckard: You tell me. What you want? Credits? Passes? Name it.

Mei: Actually Mr. Deckard I've been meaning to call on you.

Deckard: Oh?

Mei: It's been said that one of my girls had the misfortune of entertaining your Mr. Novak. And he was asking alot of questions. Some pertaining to you Mr. Deckard.

Deckard: And...

Mei: That's all I can tell you.

Deckard: What do you mean? Where's the girl? Surely there must be more she knows.

Mei: Indeed. She's dead.

Mei walks over to bar table fixes drink for two. A favourite they share.

Mei: Wyrd how our paths cross again with such synchronicity. It seems not that long ago when we first met. Remember that night Mr. Deckard?

Deckard: How can I forget.
