Hey folks, just a little mind teaser for y'all to contemplate. This may have been done before, but as Eldon Tyrell said,"Indulge me." I was thinking, perhaps with the pending release of the Blade Runner special edition DVD next year, perhaps there may be some renewed interest in a Blade Runner sequel of sorts. I don't think an out right sequel would be feasible, but perhaps a film set within the Blade Runner universe, sort of a "stand-alone" film? I know there are losts of "purists" out there who say a sequel is blasphemy, but hey, why not give it a go?

Already been done (sort of) with 'Soldier' - wasn't very good...

Yep - the Kurt Russell film.<BR><BR>See the bladezone article in the 'tie-ins' section:<BR><BR><!-- BBCode auto-link start --><a href="http://bladezone.com/contents/film/tie-ins/" target="_blank">http://bladezone.com/contents/film/tie-ins/</a><!-- BBCode auto-link end --><BR><BR>Actually, I think I'm going to re-do the 'Soldier' article 'cos the image links are dead. I've also got some DVD grabs of the derelict spinner in the movie and the other references to Blade Runner... <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

Yes, I belive that if any Blade Runner related film were to be made, a 'sidequel' would be the best option. I don't really like the idea of a prequel, sequel or a remake. If it 'aint broke, don't fix it.<BR><BR>_________________<BR><!-- BBCode Start --><IMG SRC="http://www.bladezone.com/contents/film/image-library/Thumbs/1604758_Taffey.jpg" BORDER="0"><!-- BBCode End --><BR>"Louie.
