"on its way" perhaps, but that could still be a long time. Clearing existing stocks of BR from the shelves may make more of a market for the new one when it eventually arrives, but I wouldn't get excited yet.

That's true. But the fact that WB are creating a BR draught could be an indication that they at least have a rough estimate of when the SE will be released. I don't think they would stop printing BR unless they were confident in the scheduale of the SE. <BR>My <!-- BBCode Start --><I>guess</I><!-- BBCode End --> is that they aim for a draught period of about a year before letting go of the SE, and since BR went out of print in November (iirc) I excpect the release around christmas. <BR> <BR>But this is, of course, just guesswork based on former experience. And as you said, don't hold your breath <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> <BR> <BR>/Martin <BR> <BR>Edit: <BR><IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif"> It really looks silly with all those acronyms. Two things: <BR> <BR>ROBOCOP: I'd love to see the movie at least in DD 5.1, but DTS is kinda doubtful. I know Bob Gale passed on a DTS track for Region 1 Back to the Future DVD because it allowed for 30 minutes space for more extras, I'll take the extras over DTS if there's at least DD 5.1 <BR> <BR>b26354: It's possible the discontinuation of BRDC DVDs hails the coming of the BRSE. I know Scarface has been discontinued and is out of print because 2003 is Scarface 20th and Universal's planning on selling a SE of that movie. Hopeful sign.

I was at Target the other day and the BR DVD is no longer on the shelves. There was also no shelf tag for it. hmmmmmmmmmm

The less sound more extras is a dud argument (no offense) because they shouldve made each BTTF a double disc. Because DTS is much more pleasurable when watching a film. DD lacks the enveloping quality of it. They can always have an extras disc if it takes up space.

Actually i would be interested in watching a new version but don't think anything could top the DC, plus it would look too new if they enhanced scenes, and i never noticed any wires so the DC is ok for me except for poor visual and limited sound.

If you haven't seen any wires, then I suggest you look once again and take a deep look at the flying spinners.

I've seen the wires twice.
The first time, you see a spinner descenting after the fight between Leon and Rick.
The second you notice before Rick calls to Sebastian. When the spinner takes up you see it very clearly, look at the street lights.

Sorry for bringing the old post back, but for a while I didn't came to this forum.

ok, i know its going to be very very soon now. i read previously that stores were clearning their previous blade runner copies to make room for the SE. this is true.

i went to wal-mart a month ago, no blade runner. went back a week ago, and there were tons of VHS and DVD copies.

i went to Best Buy 2 months ago, no copies of blade runner. went last weekend, and tey had at LEAST 30 copies of the dvd.

its going to be soon guys.
