Blade Runner on UMD ?

I don't actually own a PSP, but does anyone know why Blade Runner (any version) never got released on UMD?

Well, a googling search gives me this result:

http://www.moviesandgamesonline.co.uk/x ... stseller=Y

Seems a Director's Cut release.

I've just ordered 2 copies... Seems like this product is hard to find!

Great addition to my all-of-kind of media collection! :D

Thanks for sharing the link. I've also ordered two. I'll probably have to buy a PSP now, so I can enjoy Blade Runner out and about 8)

By the way, how do you know it's the Director's Cut?

So cheap... more for you! Shipping costs me twice the movie.... This is the reason i've ordered two! :D

Well, Final Cut only was released in DVD, HD and BRay format, as I know. UMD version is almost uncataloged. I guess is prior to Final Cut release.

And, this other link gives me the clue:
http://www.deepdiscount.com/Blade-Runne ... ewprod.htm

Oh, just search for a cheap PSP.... Now, PSP 3000 edition is out... prior versions... down! :D

Ebay is plenty of offers nowadays...

Interesting...

The site which we purchased from says the UMD was released on: November 3 2008... would it be normal for them to release an older version of the movie after the Final Cut is out?

Either way I look forward to getting it. The second one I purchased will be a gift for a friend.

Yeah, rare, but... who knows what the rights are in this case... The Blade Runner Partnership is not easy to deal with... and Warner... I guess it's the same... Perhaps an earlier version of the movie is easy, I don't know. Final Cut could be awesome in a PSP... anyway, could be ripped from BRay and used in any portable gadget... :D

But... to enjoy full hi-res the better choice is a big flat plasma or LCD and BRay player, no doubt!

My order got refunded from the website. Reason for it was 'currently unavailable'.

Did you get a refund jfuste?

Do you think the UMD release was canceled? Or do you think they are out there but hard to find?

Any way we can somehow find out?

No. I remember UMD discs in stores long time ago. Perhaps it's a matter of out of stock, not other.
