Has anyone else noticed that besides the obvious absence of (now-deceased) Brion James from the documentary, that William Sanderson who portrayed doomed scientist J.F. Sebastian did not appear? If you're reading this Mr. de Lauzirika, was there a specific reason for his absence? Thank you kindly for any clarification. :)

We actively tried to schedule Mr. Sanderson's interview multiple times. We were told by his people that he wasn't interested. At the recent Bradbury party, he was apologetic about it, chalking it up to miscommunication with his representatives. It goes without saying that we would have been thrilled to include him.

Maybe next time.

Thank you so much for the information Charles, and after watching a good portion of the DVD material, may I say that you and everyone else involved with this project deserves the thanks of all BR fans worldwide...an amazing achievement. 8)

Charles, I do hope that some of the stuff that didn't make it into the set may show up sometime, and I hope you can do an update to the set, but without the money backing it I guess it may just be a pipe dream. Thank you for all the work you did and also in a way for not being so complete and maybe allowing some of us to finish where you left off :) This past year and a half has been Blade Runner Nirvana, and seeing all the big name name hollywood people on the extras being just as big (or bigger) geek as me is pretty sweet too.

Thank you again,
Andy

No William Sanderson? He has been so thrilled with the attention in the recent past about being associated with Blade Runner. It's hard to imagine his unwillingness to participate. Wow.

As far as Brion James...one would think there would be excerpts from previous interviews introduced into the documentary. Maybe it has been done? If so...the same could have been done with Sanderson. Guess I'll have to wait to watch this.

I wonder, too, if there are going to be any conflicting stories between "Dangerous Days" and other sources that documented them at the time. :-k

but this pretty much stinks of unwillingness from him, doesn't it? i really can't get how facts like this can happen

When i met William Sanderson at the Milton Keynes UK Convention earlier this year, he said that he heard about dangerous days and the final cut after Joanna Cassidy phoned him and said she had re shot her death scene. He indicated that he was unaware of the excitment of the Final Cut and had not been asked to be involved. I actually felt i knew more about what was happening via Bladezone than he did. He seemed miffed that he was unaware that things were going on with the the Final Cut and as i said earlier, it was Joanna that brought it to his attention.
Hope he has changed his agent.

What's weirder is that in the Dangerous Days video there is a section which shows a pic of each of the various actors, with their name, as they appeared in the film beside a pic of them as they appear today. But William Sanderson only has his BR pic but not his name nor a pic of him as he appears today. :-( The image quicky swtches to Brion James with birth and death dates instead.
