I still can't believe that our friends in the USA seem to get it later than us.. usually (90% of the time with DVD releases) its the other way around... not that I'm complaining on this side of the pond!

I've seen this happen a few times with games and movies, usually only for ones I'm really looking forward too, heh.

Has anyone heard about the underground "air hitch" program, where you pay around $100 to the folks who pile the luggage in airplanes' cargo sections to sneak you on board "below deck," and stow you away for transcontinental flights?

I am seriously considering doing this on a flight to France on December 4. I'd have no problem being cooped up with piles of luggage and travelling carry-on cages with people's housepets for 12 hours, just so I can check out the BR Ultimate Collection DVD set 2 weeks before anyone in America gets to.

(Okay, actually, this probably isn't a laughing matter, and no, I am not seriously considering doing this. I've heard of people trying to do this, and then something happens during the flight and they die from hypothermia halfways over the Atlantic, etc.)

But, still...the thought itself is sooooo sweet. Goddammit, European BR fans, I hope you realize how unbelievably @#$% lucky you are :cry:

we lucky? ok we might be lucky to get it a couple weeks before, but hey... you guys had the luck to watch it on the big screen!! we didn't and probably never will!! i never seen BR on the big screen! damn :evil:

Actually it was shown in Italy First

...hopefully it will get a wider release there as well.
