Better idea.

Get the five-disc edition. You won't regret it.

It was only after I bought it that I realized I was only getting the Final Cut and that I should've bought the 4 disc addition! To add insult to injury it would've only been about $10 more for the disc addition. So now I am going to search E-bay for the 1982 version or just accept failure and buy the 4 disc addition. DAMMIT!!!! :x
I got the 4 disc on the first day at best buy for a great price which is now risen. One moment the brief case was there and the next moment gone! Always read the back of the box and hold on to the sales slip and don't open if u want a refund!

I will be not so popular [green], but I bought ALL the versions... US ones, German ones, French ones, Spanish ones, and either Hebrew labeled ones! Looking for Italian ones... and possibly the Japanese tin box (I've seen a picture of it!). Yes... too much for one man only... but there is more... All of these versions are DUPLICATED! And one of them TRIPLICATED! DVD, Blue Ray and HD DVD...

Yes... In the past I payed A LOT of money for two Special Edition and so on... (DVD, Laser Disc, VHS, etc). Today, I wanna have all the (future) rare versions released and no pay an extra cent (if possible) in the next months...

Now, waiting for tin metal Spanish version (release date, this month or so).

I cannot answer the question in other manner! XD

Oh wow, the Japanese get the briefcase too!

It would have been really cool if the briefcase had been molded with Harrison Ford and Blade Runner in Katakana. But it looks like they just used the same briefcase as the US/Canada editions. Oh well.
Yes, I really live in Los Angeles. Srsly. And yeah, life really does imitate art here. Especially now we've got those video billboards. No spinners yet. But I suppose that's next.

Yes. This could be a nice stuff. Also in other asian languages. Last week I was looking for BR items in ebay sites at Korea, Taiwan, and so, also in Japanese Amazon... Really cool to surf between these fantastic sites (no, I cannot read these languages, only admire them!). No one tin box, coffret, briefcase related to Blade Runner... :'(

The search is not over yet... :)

Asian editions

Well, finally, I've found one Japanese briefing case (not katakana molded...), one Korean Especial Edition, and one Chinese Especial Edition. The last ones wiht Blade Runner in Korean and Chinese print, no more.

¿Is there a Russian version (with title in Russian in cover)???? :P

I got the uber-briefcase edition and imported it from the states (I'm in the UK). It arrived on the day of release, which was not too shabby!
I've done questionable things.
