Despite seeing this link a week or so ago

This is the reply I just received from one of my local cinemas
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately Blade Runner: The Final Cut is not being released on the cinema in any great capacity. Warner Bros may be showing it in a one-off capacity but nothing has been advertised to this effect. The only information that I can provide is that the film has been passed uncut running time 117 minutes and with a 15 certificate. I cannot provide you with any more information. You could contact Warner Bros home entertainment to find out if they have plans for a limited number of showings ahead of the DVD and HD-DVD release.
Yours
Odeon Guest Services
Well, at least they replied.

I just sent an email to Diana Privitera, Warner Bros. UK PUBLICITY CONTACT, inquiring about any venues in UK showing BR.
I'll post her response here when/if I get one.

Hi there
Last I heard the venues were still waiting to be confirmed but it will only be around 5-10 venues in the UK through Cityscreen.
Best wishes
Diana

Had another reply, a little more hopeful, but...
Thank-you for your enquiry, I think it is unlikely that we shall be screening BLADE RUNNER: THE FINAL CUT as our programme is now finalised until early January, but I shall bear it in mind if a gap becomes available.
Regards
Mark Ogden
Hull Screen FOH Manager
Still, they often do one-off showings.

I just googled Cityscreen and there's one in York!

Only 40 miles away. I've e-mailed them and am waiting in hope.
Now I've only got to persuade the missus.

Not York then. Bollocks.
The missus'll never let me out as far as Liverpool or Newcastle.

Does any one know where the cinema is in Newcastle that will be screening BR-FC?
I e-mailed the National Media Museum in Bradford asking them if the would screen BR-FC ... no reply (yet!)

Thanks for the quick reply about the Tyneside Cinema in Gateshead (Newcastle). I found their website and have sent them an e-mail asking for information.
It would seem very appropriate to see the film at a cinema in Gateshead - after all, this is where Ridley grew up and started his career.
Those opening cityscape scenes with the fire chimneys will have an even more profound impact.
I hope that the cinema will do the film justice.
Many thanks

I was rather surprised this didn?t play at the VUE West End London in THX! I guess Warner Village Cinemas formally (WVC) just weren?t interested.

I have noticed more and more cinemas starting to have a short run of BR:FC.
For anyone within traveling distance of Bradford in West Yorkshire visit the National Media Museum - they are showing BR:FC on their Pictureville Cinema screen for a few days. (Big shame it is not being shown on their big IMAX screen - there is an amazing sound system in that auditorium).

Oh joy.
At last one of my local cinemas is showing Blade Runner.
And it's digital as well.
